The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Table
From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This means them few options but to head to Timmony in search of the traitor.
Future Episodes
From episode three’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Schemers tables.
